Dr Rashdan Zaki was born in Batu Pahat, Johor. He completed his secondary education in Sekolah Menenggah Sains Johor, Kluang and proceeded to complete his MBBS in University of Malaya. Thereafter, he completed his Masters in Paediatrics. Dr Rashdan begun his Clinical Fellowship Paediatric Endocrinology at University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) in 2015 and thereafter in National University Hospital Singapore (NUHS) in 2019. Dr Rashdan has published numerous research papers particularly in the area of diagnosis of Growth Hormone deficiency in childhood as well as child obesity. Dr Rashdan plays an active role in social media platform as well, advocating and promoting child health and safety especially in the field of paediatric endocrinology. He’s currently an author of www.doktorbudak.com, an online avenue for parents to get information about child healthcare. Dr Rashdan’s articles have been featured in national dailies such as Harian Metro and he also has appeared as panel in various talk shows such as “Obesity di kalangan Kanak-Kanak” and “Disorder of sexual development” in Astro Awani. Dr Rashdan’s area of interest includes Metabolic Syndrome in Obese Children and Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD).
