Dr. Reutrakul is currently a Professor of medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Visiting Scholar at the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital in Bangkok. She specializes in treating diabetes, especially type 1 diabetes. She established carbohydrate counting clinic at Ramathibodi Hospital in Thailand in 2013.
