“Clinical Professor Supawadee Likitmaskul, currently works as a consultant in pediatric endocrinologist Department of Pediatrics, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University and also serves as a director of Siriraj Diabetes Center, Siriraj Hospital, Bangkok Thailand. After finished fellowship training from The Ray William Institute of Endocrinology and Diabetes, The Children’s Hospital, Sydney in 1994, she became interested in growth disorders and diabetes in the young.
After 1998, Professor Likitmaskul attended The First Asia-Pacific Diabetes Epidemiology training Course supported by WHO, US-NIH, JDF and KDA. She has developed an academic career in diabetes research that focuses on diabetes education, camp and epidemiology of diabetes in Type 1 Diabetes and Diabetes in youth. She also has served as a committee in Thai Society for Pediatric Endocrinology and The Diabetes Association of Thailand. Since 2016 , as a Chairman of Siriraj Diabetes Center, she and team have designed a new Siriraj Diabetes Center for patients & families education service, research and health professional education which officially opened in November 2018. She is now actively involved as a secretariat in a study of Thai-Type 1 Diabetes and Diabetes diagnosed Age before 30 years Registry, Care and Network (T1DDAR-CN) and diabetes self management program network system (DSMP NS) for Type1 Diabetes which started in 2011 and has fully established in 2014.”
