HelloType1 is run by Action4Diabetes (A4D), a UK-based charity supporting young people with Type 1 Diabetes across South-East Asia. This page explains, in plain language, what cookies and similar technologies this website uses, why, and the choices you have.
These remember the language you chose and the privacy choices you make (including your answer to our banner). Without them the site cannot work properly in eight languages. They contain no personal details and are not used to track you.
We use Google Analytics to count visits: which pages are read, in which country, on what kind of device. We look at this as overall numbers — how the site is used, not who you are. It tells us, for example, that our Thai article about blood sugar levels is widely read, so we keep it updated. Google processes this data on our behalf for this purpose; we do not use it for advertising and we do not build profiles of visitors.
If — and only if — you click Accept on our banner, Microsoft Clarity records how pages are used: where people scroll, what they tap, what seems confusing. Recordings mask what you type. We use them to fix parts of the site that don't work well, especially on phones. If you ignore or decline the banner, no recording happens.
You can: use the switch below to turn visit statistics on or off; accept or decline session recording on the banner; and block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Your choices apply from your next page view.
